Manhunt underway after officer critically injured

Police were pursuing a man in the Punahou area after a police officer was run over in the parking lot of Honolulu Community College about 5 p.m. today.The officer was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said that earlier today a man threatened someone at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa with a baseball bat and tried to steal a moped. It is believed that officers tried to stop the suspect at Honolulu Community College.
Police pursued a white Ford Aerostar van toward Manoa. The suspect got out of the van in the Punahou area and police were looking for him around an apartment building.
