Kadomatsu Class, John White teaches how to create a kadomatsu by making a miniature sample, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Dec. 11, Foster Botanical Garden; $15 for botanical gardens members, $18 for nonmembers. Reservations: 537-1708.

2nd annual Kadomatsu Sale, traditional Japanese New Year's decoration created by the Men's Leadership of Hawaii Foundation will be available for pickup from noon-3 p.m. Dec. 19 at Kawananakoa Middle School.
