UH men's basketball team edges Saint Louis, 53-52

Advertiser Staff

Julian Sensley hit a jump shot with 15 seconds remaining to keep the University of Hawai'i men's basketball team undefeated with a 53-52 victory over Saint Louis University at Bauman-Eberhardt Center in St. Louis, Mo., today.

Hawai'i is 4-0, St. Louis 1-4.

After Sensley's go-ahead basket, the Billikens took a timeout before inbounding the ball. Sensley then fouled a St. Louis player in the backcourt. The Billikens took the ball out with 7 seconds left, but Izik Ohanon's jumper missed and Tom Frericks' tip-in also didn't fall before Hawai'i's Deonte Tatum grabbed the rebound with three seconds to go, sealing the victory.

Sensley finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Hawai'i returns home to play Saint Mary's of California on Dec. 11.
