Boy arrested in stabbing incident

Police arrested a 13-year-old Honolulu boy yesterday in connection with the stabbing on Monday of a 12-year-old boy.

Police said the two boys were arguing when the older boy grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the younger boy.

The stabbing victim was treated for a minor puncture wound and the stabbing suspect was released to his parents pending further investigation.


Stolen goods led to pawn arrest

A 43-year-old Honolulu man who owns and operates a pawn shop in Kalihi was arrested yesterday for suspicion of detaining stolen property.

Police said an undercover officer went to the pawn shop about 12:50 p.m. and sold several items to the shop owner that allegedly were stolen. The shop owner then was arrested.


Police seek man for bank robbery

Police are looking for this man in connection with a robbery at First Hawaiian Bank, Beretania Street, on Saturday.
Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and finding a man who robbed the Makiki Branch of First Hawaiian Bank, at 1111 Beretania St., on Saturday.

Police said the man entered the bank at 11:46 a.m., stood in line, and passed a demand note to the teller stating he was armed. He was last seen leaving the bank through the the Pensacola Street exit and running in the makai direction with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber appeared to be in his 30s, about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with a muscular build, sandy blond shoulder-length hair and medium complexion.

At the time the bank was robbed, the man was wearing sunglasses, a tan jacket, khaki pants and white athletic shoes.

No weapon was seen during the robbery.
