Aloha Section PGA to honor best of '04

The Aloha Section PGA will present its annual awards at a luncheon on Sunday at Honolulu Country Club.
John Lynch will be honored as section player of the year and Larry Stubblefield will be awarded the senior player of the year.
Other award winners:
Golf Professional of the Year: Michael Castillo, Po'ipu Bay Golf Course, director of golf
Teacher of the Year, Junior Golf Leader: Kevin Ralbovsky, KMR School of Golf, director of instruction
Horton Smith Award (contributions to developing and improving educational opportunities for the PGA golf professional): Mike Iyoki, U.S. Army Golf Courses, director of golf
Bill Strausbaugh Award (caused dramatic improvement in employment conditions of PGA golf professionals): Gregory Nichols, Ko Olina Golf Club, director of golf
Assistant Professional of the Year: Sheldon Sakamoto, Honolulu Country Club, assistant professional
Merchandiser of the Year: Matthew Hall (resort), Turtle Bay Golf Club, director of golf Casey Paulson (private course), Kuki'o Golf & Beach Club, director of golf; Arthur Rego (public course), Ala Wai Golf Course, director of golf
Distinguished Service, Sales Representative of the Year: Les Tamashiro, Acushent Company
President's Award (individual outside of the section for dedicated service in the promotion of golf in Hawai'i and supports the needs of the Aloha Section PGA): David Kim.
The winners of this year's Aloha Section PGA tournaments also will be honored.
The Aloha Section PGA has more than 250 members and apprentices and is one of 41 sections of the Professional Golfers Association of America.
