Costuming club collecting toys

Advertiser Staff

Darth Vader and storm troopers from the 501st Legion, a Star Wars costuming club, will converge on Honolulu Hale from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, collecting toys for needy children in Hawai'i in support of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

A Toys for Tots collection box, provided by Hawaiian Airlines and located next to Santa's Sleigh in the Honolulu Hale courtyard, will be available for drop-off of unused toys from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily until Dec. 20. People viewing the Honolulu City Lights displays are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

Since 1947, the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign has fulfilled the wishes of millions of children.
