Boy arrested in alleged abuse

A 14-year-old Palolo boy was arrested last night on suspicion of terroristic threatening and abuse of a household member.

Police said the boy, who is a foster child, got into an argument with two 15-year-old sisters at the home where he is staying.

The sisters told police that the boy attacked one of them, then went to the kitchen and came back holding a knife in each hand while threatening each of them.

Police officers were called to the home and arrested the boy.

Man nabbed in robbery attempt

Police arrested a 41-year-old man about 11:45 Saturday night at Oneula Beach Park in 'Ewa Beach for allegedly trying to rob a 34-year-old man at gunpoint.

The younger man told police he was asleep in his tent when he was awakened by an intruder who pulled out a gun and demanded money that the intruder claimed was owed to his friend.

The man who had been asleep in the tent refused to comply with the demand for money and the intruder left, police said. Police who were called to the park arrested the suspect.
