Head to the Hawai'i Theatre to check out some world-class talent performing at 7:30 tonight for Hawai'i Public Radio's "From The Top" show. The live taping offers a chance to see individuals such as James Perlman, 13, of Pa'ia, Maui. A bassoonist, Perlman is among the world-class musicians performing. Also featuring: Pianist Yohsuke Miyamoto, 18, of Honolulu; slack-key guitarist Daniel Carvalho, 14, of Kailua; and Melody Lindsay, 13, of Honolulu.

It's all about keiki at Murphy's tonight

Here's a chance to spread cheer and treat yourself at the same time. The 16th annual Ronald McDonald Christmas wrapping party runs from 5 to 9:30 tonight at Murphy's Bar & Grill.

Hundreds of presents for children at the Ronald McDonald House will be wrapped by an army of generous families for distribution at Christmas. Also: The Murphy's Trolley will take guests on a free City Lights Tour, Santa will make an appearance and a buffet will be served.

Cost: A donation of one wrappable Christmas gift per person.
