Laupepa Letuli, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound offensive tackle from North Torrance, Calif., today accepted a football scholarship from the University of Hawai'i.

"The environment, the school, the players, everthing is a perfect match," Letuli said.

Letuli was named to the California Interscholastic Federation all-star team.

He is the great-grandson of the head of state of Samoa and the grandson of the former paramount chief of American Samoa. His uncle, Larry Goeas, is a former UH football player.

Oregon State and Boise State also offered scholarships to Letuli.
