HPU pounds Graceland

Dante Sykes scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Hawai'i Pacific beat Graceland (Iowa), 78-49, last night at Mid-Pacific Institute gym.

Gene Barnes scored 14 points and Stevie Johnson added 13 for HPU (4-3).

Sean Maroldo scored nine to lead Graceland (6-8).

Chaminade hammers Waldorf, 105-63

Nick Frey had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Corey Campbell added 14 points as Chaminade routed Waldorf (Iowa), 105-63, last night at McCabe Gym.

Chaminade improved to 5-3, Waldorf fell to 7-7.

Lanikai Tuesday wins MISO Division I title

Lanikai Tuesday captured the Men's Island Soccer Organization Fall Division I title with a 4-0 victory over Hawai'i Pacific University White at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium yesterday.

In the Division II championship, Kamikaze defeated Watson Properties, 3-1.

Josh Fouts of Lanikai Tuesday and Jimmi Hemmenbach of HPU White were named Division I co-MVPs for the season. Walter Meadows of Watson was Division II's MVP.
