Honolulu Police this morning captured 25-year old Oahu Community Correctional Center escapee Michael Ventura at his girlfriend's house in Kalihi, a news release said.
Two other people were arrested for aiding and abetting when Ventura was captured, one was identified as his girlfriend, said the release from the Department of Public Safety.
Ventura was immediately taken to a hospital to be treated for the wounds he received while going through the razor-wire fencing on top of the chain-link fence.
Ventura scaled a minimum-security fence at OCCC Monday morning after serving only six days in the facility. He was convicted of third degree assault and sentenced to 90 days in jail and one year probation. Ventura was scheduled to be released on January 26, 2004.
Ventura now faces third degree escape charges and five additional years in prison.
