Hawaiian Air loses $3 million

Hawaiian Airlines said high fuel prices and labor costs contributed to a $3 million operating loss on revenue of $58.6 million in November, making it the third straight month the bankrupt company has finished in the red.
Last year, Hawaiian enjoyed its best November ever, generating $4.2 million in operating income on revenue of $56.5 million.
Hawaiian had reported 17 straight months of operating profit as of August.
Fred Honda, general manager of the Halekulani, announced his retirement yesterday. He will leave his post once a successor has been appointed. Honda served as general manager of Halekulani since July 2000.
Halekulani is owned and operated by Halekulani Corp., which also manages the Waikiki Parc hotels on O'ahu.
