Whiting, Mittelsteadt lead Chaminade win

Zack Whiting fell one assist shy of a triple-double and Dustin Mittelsteadt scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as Chaminade defeated Graceland (Iowa), 88-82, in overtime last night at McCabe Gym.

Whiting had 15 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Scott Metcalf added 14 points and 11 rebounds and Chris Reaves had 12 points for the Silverswords (6-3).

The game was tied at 78 after regulation.

Graceland fell to 6-9.
