The 6-foot-1, 285-pound Iosefa said he told the Aztecs of his decision on Saturday during his official recruiting visit to the campus.

"I liked it," he said. "San Diego is kind of like Hawai'i, but a lot colder."

Iosefa played guard and tackle, as well as defensive line at Punahou. He volunteered to play center at the HUB all-star game for the West squad because there were no other centers. He said he had practiced playing center during the summer in case the Buffanblu needed one.

Iosefa said SDSU recruiters saw him play in the HUB game and arranged a trip. He said the Aztecs want him to play center. He said he had no other offers.
