John Case, 50, brother of congressman

John Hebard Case, a brother of Hawai'i congressman Ed Case and a resident of Somerville, Mass., died Dec. 18. He was 50.
Case was born in Hilo and was a 1973 graduate of Hawai'i Preparatory Academy. At the time of his death he was a computer systems coordinator for Channing Laboratories, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He had also served with the Somerville Auxiliary Police and the Massachusetts Military Reserve.
He is survived by wife, Kay Wolens Case; parents, James and Suzanne Case; siblings, Edward, Suzanne and Russell Case, Elisabeth Case Marguleas and Bradford Case.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Atherton Memorial Chapel at Central Union Church. Inurnment will be at O'ahu Cemetery at a later date. The family requests no flowers or gifts, and suggests donations to the Joslin Diabetes Clinic, One Joslin Place, Boston MA 02215 or to The Destroyer Escort Historical Museum, PO Box 1926, Albany NY 12202-1926.
