Police solved the theft of a jewelry-filled home safe yesterday and arrested a Wahiawa youth for investigation of first-degree burglary.

The safe was stolen from a Wahiawa home sometime between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Nov. 28, police said. The owner of the safe, a woman, had gone out and left her home locked. When she returned she found she had been burglarized.

Man arrested in assault case

An escalating argument early yesterday led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Kalihi man for investigation of first-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault, police said.

The suspect allegedly got into an argument with his 25-year-old neighbor about 12:01 a.m. yesterday, police said.
