Hawaiian tops in seats filled

Hawaiian Airlines had the highest percentage of seats filled of any major airline in November and through the first 11 months of 2004, according to statistics published in Aviation Daily.
Last month Hawaiian filled 87.4 percent of its seats. JetBlue followed with 83.8 percent and Spirit was third with 78.3 percent. The industry average for all reporting airlines was 73.9 percent.
Hawaiian improved its load factor, revenue passenger miles and available seat miles compared to November 2003, while its passenger count declined by 6.3 percent.
The Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau and the Hawai'i Convention Center are seeking volunteers for the Professional Convention Management Association's annual meeting at the convention center Jan. 9 to 12.
Volunteers would spend eight hours in shifts over one or more days greeting people at hotels and hospitality desks and giving directions to events and activities.
