Tonight's Must-See

"Lost," 7 and 8 p.m., ABC. As this terrific show grows in popularity, people regret missing the early episodes. That's what mid-season reruns are for. Over the last two Wednesdays, ABC has rerun four hours. Now comes two more; in each case, a crisis on the island keys flashbacks to the people's lives.

First is Charlie, from a fading pop-music band; the crash forced him into withdrawal from his drug addiction. As played by Dominic Monaghan — who was Merry in the "Lord of the Rings" movies and Geoffrey in PBS' "Hetty Wainthropp" — he's a sweet but fragile soul; now he's needed to rescue Jack (Matthew Fox) after a cave-in.

The second hour focuses on Sawyer. As played by relative newcomer Josh Holloway, he seems cold and cruel. Now Jack and Sayid (Naveen Andrews) feel he's withholding the medication that Shannon (Maggie Grace) needs.

Of Note

"Vibe Awards," 4 p.m., UPN (KIKU). Here's a rerun of this year's ceremony, hosted by Tyra Banks and LL Cool J. Performers include Alicia Keys, Nelly and Ashanti, plus duets with Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams and Jadakiss with Anthony Hamilton.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 7 p.m., NBC. When a bookkeeper disappears, police probe a long list of murders.

"Live From Lincoln Center," 8 p.m., PBS. This is a "penthouse" concert with more intimacy. Flutist James Galway performs.

"National Lampoon's European Vacation" (1985), 8 p.m., ABC Family. Sandwiched between two popular films — the 1983 "Vacation" and the 1989 "Christmas Vacation" — this one is generally ignored. In all three films, viewers see different actors playing the kids, but the parents are Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo. Chase personifies the well-meaning chap who always goes too far.

"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. This reruns the episode in which the former vice president (Tim Matheson) got back in the picture. He has a book leveling charges at the president.
