Three football players from Hawai'i received honors at their team banquets.

JESSE MAHELONA

Tennessee junior defensive end Jesse Mahelona (Kealakehe '01 of Kailua, Kona) was named the outstanding lineman as selected by teammates.

Mahelona also received the coaches award, given annually to the player who consistently exemplifies an unselfish attitude, puts the success of the team above his own yet continues to perform at a high level.

Colorado freshman inside linebacker Jordon Dizon (Waimea '04) was given the Lee Willard Award for the most outstanding freshman.

Dizon recorded 82 tackles (51 solo), eclipsing the school's freshman record by 15.

Junior defensive tackle Vaka Manupuna (Saint Louis '01 of Kane'ohe) was named as one of 10 players to Colorado's prestigious Victory Club, earning the honor by recording a winning performance and/or productivity grade by the coaches in at least eight games.

WISCONSIN

Junior center Donovan Raiola (Kamehameha '00 of Hono-lulu) was an honorable mention All-America selection on the Pro Football Weekly list.
