What's open, closed

Federal, state and city offices will be closed tomorrow in observance of New Year's Day, which falls on Saturday. Satellite city halls will be closed Saturday.

Mail: The Postal Service will observe the holiday on Saturday: All post offices closed. No regular residential or business delivery or pickup. No pickup from (blue) collection boxes. Express Mail delivered. Normal postal business operations and hours tomorrow.

Libraries: All closed Saturday. Some libraries, including the Hawai'i State Library, will be open tomorrow (see www.librarieshawaii.org).

TheBus: City buses will run on a Saturday schedule tomorrow, and on a Sunday schedule on Saturday. Information: 848-5555 or www.thebus.org.

Handi Vans: Holiday schedule on both days.

On-street parking: Parking will be free tomorrow (except for Kalakaua Avenue metered stalls along Kapi'olani Park); holiday towaway-zone parking as permitted by sign; meters in municipal lots must be fed.

Traffic: No coning tomorrow.

Convenience centers: Open, both tomorrow and Saturday.

Trash: Rubbish pickups will be made tomorrow, but not on Saturday.

Golf courses: Closed Saturday, except Ala Wai, 'Ewa Villages and Ted Makalena golf courses, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
