Readers pick Budweiser, Aloha as favorite Super Bowl ads

We invited readers to pick their favorite television commercials among those aired during Sunday's Super Bowl, and to cast their votes here online.

The ads were in two categories: those that ran during the pre-game show and during the first half, and those that aired during the second half.

The first category was a beer sweep. Budweiser's ad starring a Clydesdale donkey came in first with 133 votes. A close second was the Bud Light commercial featuring a horse sleigh, which gathered 130 votes. At third place with 69 votes was another Bud Light ad, one with the dogs Piper and Fergus.

Aloha Airlines took home the second category with its incidental fees concept — 151 votes. At second was Pepsi and its imaginary day in the life of a young James Marshal Hendrix, which got 103 votes. At third, totaling 95 votes, was the Bud Light commercial that featured a monkey sweet-talking a girl.
