Islanders open with 2 road games

The Hawaiian Islanders will open their third arenafootball2 season with consecutive road games.

The Islanders will play the first-year Central Valley Coyotes in Fresno, Calif., on March 27.

Following a bye week, the Islanders will play at the Louisville Fire on April 10.

The Islanders' first home game will be April 17 against the Bossier City (La.) Battle Wings at the Blaisdell Arena.

The Islanders will play 16 games this season with half at the Blaisdell, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Islanders are part of the National Conference West Division with the Bakersfield Blitz, San Diego Riptide and Central Valley.

The Islanders won the division last season and finished with an 11-7 record.

This season's schedule includes 12 games against division opponents and a home-and-home series against Louisville (National Midwest) and Bossier City (American Mid-South).
