Islanders will hold tryout

The Hawaiian Islanders of arenafootball2 will hold an open tryout at Saint Louis School on Feb. 22.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and testing is scheduled for 10 a.m. A $25 fee (cash only accepted) will be charged to all participants.

Each participant will be tested in the 40-yard dash, four-corner agility drill, L-shuttle run and 225-pound bench press repetitions.

The non-contact tryout is open for all positions and will be conducted outdoors on FieldTurf.

Participants are required to bring their own shoes (outdoor cleats preferably) and other proper workout attire.

"We are looking for players who can compete at the professional level," said Islanders head coach Cal Lee. "This is a legitimate opportunity for players to get noticed. We know there are talented athletes in Hawai'i and we want the best players to compete at this level."
