Tonight's Must-See

"Ed," 8 p.m., NBC. For four years, this show has teased us with the romance of Ed and Carol. Now, on the final episode of the season — and maybe of the series — they're ready to marry. Ed wants a simple wedding, but Carol wants more. Soon, they choose a circus theme. Indeed, the whole thing could become a circus.

Of Note

"Joan of Arcadia," 7 p.m., CBS. Joan is not happy with her latest assignment from God. She's on a debate team, with an inept partner, speaking up for a notion people dislike.

"Hope & Faith," 8 & 8:30 p.m., ABC. Here are two bits of clever casting, built around the fact that star Kelly Ripa is also co-host of "Live With Regis & Kelly." In the first episode, Kathie Lee Gifford (Ripa's predecessor on the talk show) plays a waitress who becomes entangled with the sisters. In the second, a rerun, Regis Philbin plays a car-dealer who hires Ripa for his commercial.
