Montana St.-Billings tops BYUH

The Brigham Young University-Hawai'i men's basketball team dropped a Pacific West Conference game at Montana State-Billings, 77-73, yesterday.
Jake Chrisman had a career-high 38 points and Michael Stowell added 15 for the Seasiders.
MSUB held high-scoring BYUH guard Shawn Opunui to just two points.
BYUH, ranked 17th in the latest Division II national poll, is 17-4, 7-2 in the PacWest.
MSUB is 14-6 and 5-4.
Western New Mexico 86, Hawai'i Pacific 63: Western New Mexico University extended its home winning streak to four games yesterday, beating Hawai'i Pacific University at Silver City, N.M.
The win moved WNMU to 7-14 overall and 4-5 in PacWest play.
Hawai'i Pacific slipped to 7-12 and 4-5.
Marvin Noble led the way for the Sea Warriors with 17 points.
TENNIS
UH players honored: University of Hawai'i players Renata Camargo and Dalibor Ptak have been named the Western Athletic Conference women's and men's Players of the Week.
Camargo, a sophomore from Sao Paulo, Brazil, is 4-2 in singles and 4-0 in doubles for the Rainbow Wahine (3-3).
Ptak, a junior from Tchov, Czech Republic, is 6-3 in singles for the Rainbow Warriors (2-9).
ULTIMATE FIGHTING
Vitale victorious: Hawai'i's Falaniko Vitale earned a unanimous decision over Dave Menne of Minnesota in the main event of the SuperBrawl 33 mixed martial arts card at the Blaisdell Center Arena on Saturday.
Vitale improved to 15-3 by defeating Menne, who dropped to 33-10-3. Vitale won despite injuring his toe midway through the three-round bout.
In other bouts: Vince Lucero defeated Justin Eilers after Eilers injured his shoulder in the first round; Ronald Jhun beat Kyle Brees when the referee stopped the contest in the third round; Harris Sarmiento defeated Kolo Koka by unanimous decision to win the four-man 155-pound tournament; Eddie Yagin beat Jens Pulver when the doctor stopped the bout in the second round because of a cut on Pulver's head; Bryson Monterde beat Ben George when the referee stopped the contest in the first round; Ed Newalu beat Harvey Nakamoto by unanimous decision.
