ITEMIZATIONS: Justine Michioka, Miss Hawai'i USA, appears in the Raise the Love fund-raiser for the Friends of the Missing Child Center Hawai'i this evening at the Sheraton Waikiki's Esprit lounge. A silent auction will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with free pupu from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and entertainment from 6 to 9 p.m. featuring Jordan Segundo and more. And all that jazz: When the St. Louis Center for the Arts revives "Chicago" March 5-14, John Long (St. Louis junior), a newcomer to Hawai'i, will play Billy Flynn. The cast also features Tani Lynn Fujimoto (Sacred Hearts Academy sophomore and a CD and concert artist) as Roxie Heart, with Niki Passas (Kamehameha junior) playing Velma Kelly. For Fujimoto and Passas, it's a reunion they were both in Ala Moana Center "Imagination" and Santa's Light Parade shows written by Kyle Kakuno, who is directing "Chicago." ...
Frank B. Shaner, Richie Walker and Kamasami Kong took in Andy Bumatai's and Paul Ogata's show Saturday night at the Palace Showroom of the Ohana Reef Towers Hotel. Afterward, they all went to hear Tino & the Rhythm Klub at Esprit, where Albert Maligmat, a former Society of Seven member, joined them. A fan happened by and wondered out loud: "Look at all you guys. These are the legends ... What are you guys getting together for?" To which a straight-faced Walker said: "We're going to search for Spock." ...
NAME-DROPPING: The courageous and inspirational story of artist Peggy Chun, the popular O'ahu watercolorist who's been battling Lou Gehrig's disease, also known as ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), will be seen on two shows Sunday. She will be profiled on "It's a Miracle" at 9 p.m. on PAX TV (rebroadcast at 10 p.m. March 23) and will be part of "Hawaiian Moving Company" at 6:30 p.m. on KGMB-9 (repeating at 11:05 p.m.). ...
