Tonight's Must-See
"The Princess Diaries" (2001), 7:30 p.m., ABC. A lonely teenager (Anne Hathaway) suddenly learns that she's a princess. She visits a tiny kingdom and gets lessons from the royal family, including Julie Andrews. Director Garry Marshall keeps it looking bright and feeling fun. Hathaway adds an easy charm.
"Power Rangers Dinothunder," 8 & 8:30 a.m., ABC Family. When Disney paid $5.2 billion for the former Fox Family Channel it also got the Power Rangers. Now the 12th edition begins. This is no longer a goofy show with oafish villains. Jason David Frank plays it dead-serious as Tommy Oliver, a former Power Ranger, teaching high school science. To fight evil, he guides three teens a jock, a computer geek and a girl singer.
Of Note
NBA All-Star Game previews, noon, TNT. The game isn't until Sunday but TNT has a long warm-up. That starts at noon with an "All-Access" look at the Denver Nuggets. Then comes a Magic Johnson tribute at 1 p.m., a look at 20 years of All-Star games at 2, a preview at 3 and "All-Star Saturday Night" at 3:30. That last one has contests in slam dunks, three-point shooting, general shooting and in overall skills.
"A Charlie Brown Valentine," 7 p.m., ABC. Charlie's woes continue in this low-key cartoon.
"The Tracy Morgan Show," 7 p.m., NBC. Tracy rents a cabin so his kids can discover the wilderness. His own thoughts, alas, are with his work at the garage.
"Law & Order," 8 p.m., NBC. When a woman's body is found floating in the Hudson River, the case reflects on some upscale lawyers and a judge.
"Hack," 8 p.m., CBS. Mike tries to help a recovering heroin addict whose baby has been kidnapped and sold on the black market.
"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. "50 First Dates" star Drew Barrymore hosts. Kelis is the musical guest.
