UHH's Mason ties for second at Waikoloa

Oklahoma's Anthony Kim won the individual title and Georgia Tech captured the team championship yesterday at the TaylorMade/Waikoloa Intercollegiate golf tournament at the Waikoloa Kings' Course on the Big Island.

Kim shot a final-round 5-under 67 for a 54-hole total of 205.

University of Hawai'i-Hilo's Nick Mason shot a 69 and was tied for second with Arizona State's Chez Reavie (69) at 207.

Mason's finish was the best ever by a Hawai'i golfer in the tournament, hosted by UH-Hilo.

Georgia Tech won by three shots over UCLA. Hawai'i-Hilo finished in 15th place, while UH-Manoa ended up in 19th place.
