Seminar to cover lasting love

Dr. Jim Burns, founder of YouthBuilders, will discuss "To Have and to Hold: Building a Love That Will Last Forever" at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Diamond Head Theatre, as part of the Alec and Belle Waterhouse lecture series.
Burns, who with his wife, Cathy, has been married 29 years, calls their marriage "high maintenance." He'll discuss romance, stress, communication, parenting, handling finances and putting fun back into your marriage.
The seminar includes a performance by Na Leo Pilimehana.

Family education presentation set
Dr. Raymond Corsini will give a two-hour talk and presentation at 4 p.m. today in preparation for the opening of the Family Education Center in Manoa.
Corsini, who wrote "Effective Discipline in the Home and School," started the Family Education Centers of Hawaii nearly 40 years ago. The new center is hosted by the family resources division of the University of Hawai'i-Manoa, and meets at Miller Hall, Room 101 on the UH campus. A buffet supper is provided after the free presentation.
The center will offer eight-week class sessions beginning Feb. 22. Cost is $40 per session (waivers are available).

Health discussion slated for tonight
Dr. Susan Johnson will discuss "The Seven Essential Nutrients for a Healthy Child" at 7:30 tonight at the Honolulu Waldorf School, Niu Valley campus, 350 Ulua St.
Johnson will explore the importance of nutrition, sleep, rhythm, balance in breathing and harmonious movement in the development of the healthy child and healthy family.
Cost is $15 at the door.
