Pearl City wrestlers sweep in OIA West

Pearl City swept the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Western Division varsity wrestling championships Saturday at Mililani High School.

The Pearl City boys scored 177 points to finish ahead of Mililani's 150.5. The Charger girls amassed 175 points to outdistance second-place Waipahu, which had 100.

The OIA varsity championships are scheduled for Feb. 27 and 28 at Leilehua High School.

Cheerleading

• Moanalua wins OIA East: Moanalua won the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division Championship Saturday at McKinley High School.

Moanalua earned 263.5 points, followed by Kaiser (255.5), Castle (230.5), Kailua (225), McKinley (207.5), Roosevelt (200), Kalaheo (194) and Kalani (178).

The top six advance to the OIA Championship on March 1 at Radford High School.

The OIA Western Division Championship is Saturday at Kapolei High School.
