Advertiser Staff
A 27-year-old Mo'ili'ili man was indicted by an O'ahu grand jury yesterday on a charge of attempted murder in connection with an assault on his former girlfriend Friday afternoon.
The indictment also accuses Anthony K.K. Nao of Farrington Street of violating a protective order the woman obtained in an attempt to keep Nao away from her.
Circuit Judge Richard Perkins granted a request by city Deputy Maurice Arrisgado to set bail for Nao at $100,000 cash only.
Police said Nao confronted the 30-year-old woman near Kuhio School at 2 p.m. Friday and beat her. She was taken to The Queen's Medical Center with critical injuries.
