How Hawai'i hotels are faring

Advertiser Staff

O'ahu hotels continued to enjoy strong occupancy rates post-Pro Bowl weekend, ending the week at 91.5 percent occupancy, an 11.6 percent increase from last year. Room rates on O'ahu also increased by 1.9 percent to $129.79. The combination of visitors extending their stay after the Pro Bowl, the Cisco convention held last week in Waikiki, Valentine's Day and the Great Aloha Run falling over a three-day weekend contributed to the island's good performance.
