Tonight's Must-See
"Cast Away" (2000), ABC, or "Shrek" (2001), NBC, both 7 p.m. "Cast Away" reruns for its second time in six weeks, "Shrek" for its second in six days. They're worth seeing again. "Cast Away" has Tom Hanks stranded on an island, talking to himself and to a soccer ball. Shrek" is an amiable tale of an ogre and a donkey, rescuing a princess. It's computer-animated, with voices by Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz.
Trumpet Awards, 5 p.m., TBS. This year's music is from Ruben Studdard, Yolanda Adams, Isaac Hayes, Gerald Levert and Tamia. D.L. Hughley hosts; Savion Glover dances. Some honorees are from show business: Hayes, Angela Bassett, Della Reese, Norman Lear, 8-year-old piano prodigy Jordan Adams and music executives Russell Simmons and Sylvia Rhone. Others cut across many fields. They include Nelson Mandela, Marion Jones, Don Barden, Anthony Pollard, C. DeLores Tucker and Horace Ward.
Of Note
"Antwone Fisher" (2002), 6 p.m., HBO. In his directing debut, Denzel Washington shows the same subtle skill he has as an actor. This true story has Derek Luke as a young Navy man with a troubled past and moments of rage; Washington is his psychiatrist.
"Just Cause," 7 p.m., Pax. Alex goes undercover at a high school to investigate charges of sexual harassment.
"Try to Remember," 8 p.m., Pax. Here's a new film based on a Mary Higgins Clark mystery. A forensics detective suspects that serial murders were done by the ex-con who killed her best friend.
"Hack," 8 p.m., CBS. Jane Krakowski ("Ally McBeal") plays a temptress who pulls Mike into a messy case.
"The District," 9 p.m., CBS. Mannion has a sexy fencing instructor whose estranged husband has been killed with a sword.
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. A pedophile has escaped from prison and taken his accuser hostage.
