Hilo beats Billings in PacWest

Justin Griffin scored 27 points and Joe Travis had 25 points and 13 rebounds as Hawai'i-Hilo beat Montana State-Billings, 84-79, last night in a Pacific West Conference game at Hilo civic.
Billings played only five players and was led by Buddy Windy Boy with 32 points, including 10 of 17 on 3-point attempts.
Alex Cabagnot had 12 assists for Hilo, which trailed 46-33 at halftime.
Hilo improved to 15-7 overall and 7-5 in the PacWest. The Vulcans are second in the league behind Brigham Young-Hawai'i (9-2). Billings fell to 15-10 and 6-8.
Chaminade wins: Bryon Sykes scored a game-high 19 points and Nick Frey added 16 points and 11 rebounds to carry the Silverswords over the Mustangs, 88-81, last night at McCabe Gym.
Donald Rogers added 15 points and Roy Stigall III had 10 for Chaminade.
Western New Mexico's Matt Enriquez and Jason Jackson scored 18 points apiece.
Chaminade improved to 9-12 and 6-5, and Western New Mexico fell to 4-10, 7-17.
