Tonight's Must-See
"American Masters: Judy Garland: By Myself," 9 p.m., PBS. Before her death (in 1969, of a drug overdose), Judy Garland recorded comments intended for an autobiography. Those comments, revoiced by an actress, talk about her child-star days when she was stuffed with pills: "That's the way we lost contact with the world." Still, "Masters" doesn't wallow. Much of it focuses on Garland's awesome talent.
"American Idol," 7:30 p.m., Fox. Two more contestants move on to the final 12. Will Honolulu resident Jonah Moananu be one of 'em?
Of Note
"Beah: A Black Woman Speaks," 5:30 p.m., HBO. In her 80 years, Beah Richards ranged from civil rights activism to brilliant acting performances.
"Barbershop" (2002), 6:15 p.m., Showtime. Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer star in a popular comedy.
"My Wife and Kids," 7 p.m., ABC. With others sick, Michael wants to stay healthy enough to use his basketball tickets. LeBron James stars.
"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. The former vice president plans a bombshell book attacking the president.
