UH to play Japan squad in exhibition

The University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team will play Nittaidai University of Tokyo on March 19 in an exhibition match.

The Rainbow Wahine return 2003 AVCA Freshman of the Year Kanoe Kamana'o at setter, but will be without departed All-Americans Lily Kahumoku, Lauren Duggins and 2003 AVCA National Player of the Year Kim Willoughby.

Tickets for the 7 p.m. match will be available from March 10.

Tickets can be purchased at the Stan Sheriff Center box office, www.etickethawaii.com, Aloha Stadium box office, the UH Campus Center, Rainbowtique at Ward Centre, Windward Community College or by calling 944-BOWS. Tickets are $5 for general admission.



TENNIS

• Top-ranked BYUH to face Long Beach State: The Brigham Young University-Hawai'i women's tennis team, ranked No. 1 in Division II, will face its first Division I opponent tomorrow at La'ie, taking on Long Beach State at 11 a.m.

The Seasiders, the defending national champions, are 5-0 this season.
