Tonight's Must-See

"Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. As the final week of the "sweeps" ratings period begins, the networks have new episodes. Enjoy them, prior to a cascade of reruns. Tonight, Rachel tries to interview for a new job. That isn't easy when her current boss is at the next table in the restaurant. Meanwhile, Phoebe is still thinking about taking a married name or keeping her own — or coming up with something more exotic. Joey continues to mope because Chandler and Monica are getting a house in the suburbs. He finds some solace in a friendship with the little girl whose family is selling the house. She's played by Dakota Fanning, the young star of "The Cat in the Hat." "I Am Sam" and the "Taken" miniseries.

Of Note

"The Apprentice," 8 p.m., NBC. An eighth person is fired tonight. That means half the original 16 will be gone.
