How Hawai'i hotels are faring

Supported by occupancy gains across all islands, statewide hotel occupancy showed a gain of 5.6 percent to 88.2 percent, while room rate increased by 5.0 percent to $170.75 for the week ended Feb. 21. The increase in occupancy is consistent with a 3.3 percent gain in visitor arrivals last week. For the third consecutive week, O'ahu hotels posted strong occupancy gains to lead all islands in occupancy at 89.5 percent.
