• Got kokua?: Is he or isn't he? Lots of rumors swirling that Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder will be the special guest at tomorrow's Kokua Festival at Kualoa Ranch.

• Hollywood notes: Keeping track of the Hawai'i-filmed movies heading for theaters in the next couple of months? Mark your calendars: "The Big Bounce," starring Owen Wilson, is scheduled to take a bow Jan. 30; Adam Sandler's "50 First Dates" (originally titled "50 First Kisses"), Feb. 13 — yes, Friday the 13th.

• V-Day Revisited: Eve Ensler's groundbreaking drama, "The Vagina Monologues," returns in a one-time-only performance Feb. 15 at the Hawai'i Theatre. The show coincides with a national V-Day celebration and features a local cast, musicians and even a dancer. "Girl Fest Hawai'i" will be the local theme and tap these participants: Lois-Ann Yamanaka, author "Blu's Hanging"; Nora Okja Keller, author of "Comfort Woman"; Joy Harjo, author of "The Woman Who Fell Into the Sky"; Brenda Kwon, co-editor of "Yobo"; Sela Hope Geissler of the Hawaii Slam Team; Kasi Nunes, aka The Rebel Girl; plus Rea Fox and Grace Alvaro Caligtan.
