Tonight's Must-See

Fiesta Bowl, 3 p.m., ABC. The New Year's Day celebration seems to go on and on under the bowl plan. Things don't really wrap up until Sunday (Jan. 4), when Oklahoma and Louisiana State collide in the Sugar Bowl for the national championship. Tonight, last year's champ, Ohio State, battles Kansas State.

Of Note

College football, all day. Before the Fiesta Bowl, we get two more games. The Cotton Bowl (9 a.m. on Fox) has Mississippi and Oklahoma State; the Peach Bowl (11:30 a.m. on ESPN) has Clemson and Tennessee.

"Joan of Arcadia," 7 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, God tells Joan to build a boat. Since Noah's day, it's been best to follow that advice.

"The Simpsons," 7 p.m., Fox. With its Friday schedule still in flux, Fox tosses in some comedy reruns. Tonight's opener has Homer being taped fleeing a bear. That's followed by "Malcolm in the Middle," "That '70s Show" and "Arrested Development."

"America's Thrillmakers: Walt Disney World," 6 p.m., Discovery. This documentary lets us in on how Disney World rides are created and tested.

"Housesitter" (1992), 8 p.m., ABC Family. A bizarre woman (Goldie Hawn) moves into the new house of an architect (Steve Martin) and claims to be his wife. This is a slender basis for a comedy, but it works because of the stars' charm and the nimble touch of director Frank Oz.

"JAG," 8 p.m., CBS. In this rerun, a petty officer has been missing since the Gulf War. Now she's been found — married to a sheik.

"The Handler," 9 p.m., CBS. This rerun has Heather posing as an upscale call girl in an effort to catch a murderous pimp.
