First Hawaiian Bank Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Walter A. Dods Jr. has announced these promotions and an appointment:
- PAUL ALIMBUYAO to assistant vice president and manager, trust operations-securities processing and custody department. Alimbuyao joined First Hawaiian in 1997 as a trust asset control supervisor and was promoted to assistant vice president in 2002.
- CARLTON JOW to assistant vice president and small-business credit officer, retail loan administration division. Jow joined First Hawaiian in 1993 as a business banking associate. He has held various positions, including commercial real-estate representative, assistant branch manager, commercial loan officer and small-business credit officer.
- MANOLO TUMALIP to assistant vice president and manager, trust operations-systems, accounting and controls department. Tumalip joined First Hawaiian in 1989 as an accountant. His past positions include check-processing manager, research and development analyst, and information-management officer.
- BERNARD LUM to assistant vice president, credit department. Lum joined First Hawaiian in 2001 as a senior credit analyst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
- DARRYL PERRY to assistant vice president and security manager, security department. Perry joins First Hawaiian after 31 years with the Honolulu Police Department, where he was a major in charge of the criminal investigation division.
- LINDA AZUMI to real-estate loan officer, branch residential loan department. Azumi joined First Hawaiian in 2000 as a real-estate loan representative.
- ROGLYN CORREA to account service officer, consumer loan collections department. Correa joined First Hawaiian in 1980 as a clerk. She has worked as field collector, senior account service representative and account service supervisor.
STANLEY KAWAGUCHI is retiring as vice president and regional manager for the Hawai'i office of New York-based Parsons Brinckerhoff. His retirement follows a career that included work on Atlanta's MARTA rapid-transit system, San Francisco's BART, and Hawai'i's Interstate H-3.
ETTA PALEA has been named senior vice president of financial services for the Big Island Federal Credit Union. She has been with the credit union for three years as vice president of financial services. Her responsibilities now include member services, loans, marketing and advertising, information technology, compliance and security, and overall branch operations.
The Maui Hotel Association board of directors has picked ULULANI CORREA as executive director. She has 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry and served as executive assistant to the general manager of the Maui Prince Hotel for the past 15 years.
DAVID MOORE has been promoted to managing director of the Honolulu office of Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, Architects, Designers, Planners & Consultants. He has been a design architect on hotel, resort, golf clubhouse and mixed-use projects in Hawai'i, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Okinawa and Guam.
