Sonic Youth. Van Dyke Parks. Dizzy Gillespie. Jake Shimabukuro. What do all four have in common? Come next Sunday morning you'll be able to mention each as vets of live gigs at New York City's legendary oasis of musical eclecticism The Knitting Factory.

'Ukulele master Shimabukuro will play a live solo show at the boho-cool TriBeCa club primarily known for its showcasing of avant-garde jazz artists Saturday. It's sponsored by the Hawai'i Cultural Foundation.

Going to the Big Apple this weekend and curious to see how the club kids take to Jake? The show starts at 7 p.m. at The Knitting Factory, 74 Leonard St. Entry is $20. For tickets call (212) 219-3006.
