Mililani rallies past Wai'anae
Advertiser Staff
Samantha Bolosan and Melissa Lehano each hit run-scoring singles in the top of the eighth inning, rallying the Mililani Trojans past the host Wai'anae Seariders, 3-1, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association softball game.
Mililani has won 66 of its past 67 OIA regular and postseason games since 1998. The Trojans' 62-game OIA win streak was snapped in last year's league title game against Kailua.
Trailing 1-0 entering the top of the seventh and final scheduled inning, Mililani's Ciera Senas scored on a delayed steal of home with one out to tie the game at 1.
