Tonight's Must-See

"The Simple Life," 7:30 p.m., Fox. You didn't think the California heiresses would spend all their time in the farmhouse, did you? Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie — the party girls transplanted to small-town Arkansas — have spent a lot of nights in town, flirting with the teen boys. Troubles follow. The guys' heads are spinning, after hints that they should move west and be models. The farm family tries to crack down, grounding Hilton and Richie. In the spirit of young people everywhere (especially heiresses on TV), the friends lie, fume and sneak out. Richie also goes ballistic in a pool hall. It's a fun half-hour.

"Celebrity Mole Yucatan," 9 p.m., ABC. Corbin Bernsen and Stephen Baldwin, who were on "Celebrity Mole Hawaii," return, keeping things loose. Mark Curry, Dennis Rodman, Tracy Gold, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Angie Everhart and Ananda Lewis are also there. One person is a mole, secretly undermining efforts to win challenges and make money.

Of Note

"Ed," 7 p.m., NBC. Here's the last Wednesday show before "Ed" returns to Fridays. In a rerun, an engagement party for Ed and Carol approaches and everyone is distracted.

"Great Performances: Degas and the Dance," 8 p.m., PBS. This hour views French painter Edgar Degas' fascination with dancers.

"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. With his mind on other things, Bartlet heads to the funeral of a conservative ex-president he often fought. Accompanying him are two ex-Oval Office residents, played by James Cromwell and John Goodman.

"Life After Extreme Makeover," 8 p.m., ABC. The "Extreme Makeover" episodes seem to end with people being joyous about their new looks. This documentary looks at whether their lives changed.

"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. At a concert, Ryan learns a secret about the guy Marissa has befriended.
