3 arrested in 'Aiea robbery

Three teenagers were arrested yesterday on suspicion of robbing a 7-Eleven store in 'Aiea Dec. 15.

Two of the youths, both 18, were booked as adults on first-degree robbery while a 14-year-old boy was booked as a juvenile on the same offense. Another juvenile wanted for questioning about the 11:55 p.m. armed robbery at 99-187 'Aiea Heights Drive is still at large, police said.

Fifty dollars cash, four to six cases of beer, cigarettes and 20 bottles of liquor were stolen at gunpoint in the robbery.

The two older youths in custody may be turned over to federal authorities for prosecution, police said. The 18-year-olds were arrested at their residences in Kalihi Valley and Wahiawa early yesterday morning.


Man charged in store theft

A 23-year-old man was charged yesterday with stealing $4,000 worth of cigarettes from a Tesoro Hawai'i Corp. store in 'Aiea on Dec. 18. Jerome Kealoha is charged with second-degree burglary and his bail is $50,000.


HONOLULU

Waikiki hotel burglary probed

Police are investigating a Waikiki hotel burglary yesterday in which a 50-year-old airline pilot's identification and flight information was stolen from a safe in his room. The burglary at a Koa Avenue hotel that police declined to identify occurred sometime between noon and 5 p.m.

No arrests have been made in the case.


Boy suffers burns in attack

A 13-year-old boy suffered second- and third-degree burns to his face and arms in an attack yesterday in Kalihi Valley.

The boy told police he was walking home when he was punched in the head from behind at about 4 p.m. on the 1400 block of Kamehameha IV Road. The boy did not know what was used to burn him, police said. He was treated at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children.

The boy was attacked by a group of youths he did not know, police said.
