Kupuna ID cards to be issued at district parks

People 65 and older can get a free Kupuna ID card.

The program, sponsored by the state and the Honolulu Police Department, is intended to help elderly people if they become disoriented, sick or lost. The ID includes emergency contacts.

Here's the schedule.

  • Next Thursday: Waipahu District Park, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Feb. 26: Kailua District Park, 10:30 a.m. to 2 :30 p.m.
  • March 9: Wai'anae District Park, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • April 29: Wahiawa District Park, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • May 4: Koko Head District Park, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
