Pedrina lifts Castle to rout of Kaimuki

Lia Pedrina pitched a one-hit shutout and hit two three-run homers as host Castle routed Kaimuki, 26-0, in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Eastern Division game yesterday.

Pedrina struck out five and walked none in a game shortened to 4› innings because of the 10-run mercy rule. The Bulldogs' lone hit was a first-inning single by Brandi Sasaki.

Pedrina finished 3 for 5 and had eight RBIs, and Kalena Souza was 2 for 4 with a grand slam and six RBIs.

Castle (4-1) scored 17 runs in the fourth inning.

Kaimuki dropped to 2-3.
