Hawai'i's Greg Meyer and Dave Eichelberger yesterday earned spots for the Sony Open in Hawai'i, which begins Thursday at Waialae Country Club.

Korea's Myung Jun Park shot an 8-under-par 64 and had the low round yesterday at Pearl Country Club to earn one of four spots. Bobby Kalinowski was second with a 65.

Meyer, who plays on the Japan Tour, shot a 66. Eichelberger finished in a three-way tie with Jeff Freeman and Mark Wilson at 67.

Eichelberger, a member of the Champions Tour, birdied the first playoff hole to earn the final spot.

The annual First Hawaiian Bank Junior-Pro Challenge, a benefit for the Hawai'i State Junior Golf Association, is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Waialae.
