Hawaiian Air to serve Sydney

Hawaiian Airlines plans to start service to Sydney, Australia, May 17, pending government approvals, the airline announced today.The airline would join Qantas and Air Canada in providing service between Honolulu and Australia.
Gov. Linda Lingle praised the effort and said it will bring more tourists to the Islands. She said the number of Australian visitors has fallen from 237,000 in 1990 to 92,000 in 2002.
