Arrest made in Kahala robberyPolice arrested a 27-year-old Waikiki man for questioning yesterday in connection with Monday’s armed robbery at a Black Point residence.
The man was identified through fingerprints found at a Papu Circle house where a 49-year-old homeowner confronted two burglars in his living room. One of the intruders threatened the homeowner with a gun before the pair fled in a silver Dodge Intrepid.
Police stopped the car on 12th Avenue at 11:50 a.m., about 35 minutes after the robbery was reported.
One of the two men in the car fled. He was located yesterday on Paoakalani Avenue at 5:25 p.m. According to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records, he has been convicted for three misdemeanors and one petty misdemeanor since 2001.
A Waipahu man, 28, arrested Monday, was still at the main police station cellblock today, pending charges.
Teen charged in sex assault
A 13-year-old boy was charged as a juvenile yesterday on three counts of first-degree sexual assault involving a girl, 11.
The alleged sex assaults occurred Tuesday at an un disclosed Pearl City location. Police said the boy’s parents assisted in his arrest.
